Q
: What type of physician do you provide medical malpractice for?

A: At MIS, we believe that the majority of all medical malpractice claims come from 20% of the doctors. Our underwriting process is able to identify the doctors that are most likely to fall within the 80% of doctors that we would like to write (or said another way, the 20% of doctors that we don’t want to write). This unique underwriting process is geared toward individual physicians and groups of 5 physicians or less. We do not write groups greater than 5 or where the named insured is a corporation.

Q:  What is the process for sending an application to MIS?

A:  MIS requires that all applications be entered into the OnLine-PL quote system. The completed submission (application, medical license, copy of current dec page, CV, and all required forms) need to then be updated in the OnLine-PL quote system and faxed to the underwriting department.

Q: What if I just want a price indication?

A: Just use our OnLine-PL quote system and enter the basic information on the Quick Quote tab to a get an immediate price indication. The indication is an estimate of what the premium could be based on the limited information you provided. This Indication does not take into consideration credits that may be applied by the underwriter.
